Dr. James Ruiz is a board-certified podiatric surgeon with 18 years of experience treating foot and ankle conditions in the Miami area. He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Barry University and completed his surgical residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he specialized in reconstructive foot surgery and sports medicine.
Dr. Ruiz is known for his patient-centered approach and takes particular interest in helping athletes and active patients return to their sport as quickly as possible. He has a special focus on plantar fasciitis, heel pain, and minimally invasive surgical techniques. He speaks both English and Spanish fluently.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Ruiz volunteers with the Miami Marathon medical team and has been recognized as a "Top Podiatrist" by Miami Magazine for five consecutive years.
